Today, a session was conducted for all the girl students of Manava Bharati India International School by the officials of Thana, Nehru Colony.
The session was conducted by SI Balbir Dobhal with the assistance of LC Manju Arya and HC Prakash Singh Jina.
Today’s session specially focused on the safety of all the girl students and female teachers to spread awareness about safety and security of women of all ages.
First of all they introduced us to the Uttarakhand Police app which can be downloaded from Google play store.
Every student was asked to get registered in the app. Thereafter everyone was asked to register into the Gaur Shakti App.Students were told that once they get registered into the app,they can lodge any complaint through SOS within the app.
The following aspects were discussed like:-
Cyber Crime, Fraudulent calls related to Covid vaccination, the risks of sharing bank details and ATM card numbers to unknown persons, facing harrassment outside home, any kind of physical or emotional abuse and not following of traffic rules while driving as well as the right age of driving vehicles like scooty, bikes and cars.
It was made clear to everyone present that if they notice any unusual happenings in and around their surroundings, they must immediately bring it to the notice of the police through the Uttarakhand Police App. The session was very informative for all teachers and students alike.
