As Manava Bharati India International School, Dehradun strongly believes that experiential learning is the best way to connect the textbook theories to real life, therefore through out the year it conducts various activities to engage the students and teachers in order to make teaching learning process interesting and informative. On 31st January 2023 the students of Class – 11th commerce went for a field trip to “GEETANJALI SUPER FOOD PVT LTD” situated at Pargana Parwadoon, Laltappar with the motive to understand and experience the functioning of manufacturing industries and how the goods are made available to the consumers.
GEETANJALI SUPER FOOD PRIVATE LIMITED is a manufacturing unit, founded in 2019. It manufactures nearly 26 varieties of biscuits, 9 varieties of rusk and 6 types of fans with the total 50 workers carrying out the process. They mostly have their consumers in Dehradun, hilly areas of Uttarakhand and some places of Uttar Pradesh.
As the bus reached the place Mr Amit, the production manager and Ms Kanta the Senior Accountant welcomed warmly. They distributed bouffant caps to each one to ensure the hygiene and neatness in production area. After giving the brief introduction they took everyone inside the factory. Mr Amit showed giant mixtures, ovens and other machines. Step by step he detailed the process by demonstrating the working of all the machineries which convert the raw material into finished goods. Students also learnt about other business services like communication, transportation, banking, insurance, warehousing etc necessary in this process. They also understood about chain of distributors, types of packaging, functions of warehouses etc. Students asked various questions which were answered by the specialist of concerned departments. After the useful interaction in the manufacturing unit students came to sitting area and enjoyed eateries manufactured there along with juice. It was really a great experience for the students and the teachers .
Lastly their Faculty Ms Arti Raturi who has planned and managed this trip for explaining the various concept of Business Studies, concluded it by summarizing the key points to the students. She also expressed gratitude to the Director, managers and workers of the company for being so generous and amicable. Mr Ankit ( faculty) who has also accompanied the students told them how this trip can be equally beneficial in Economic too.
