A dental camp was organized for the students of our school by the Uttaranchal Dental and Medical Institute, with a primary focus on promoting oral hygiene awareness and empowering young minds to take charge of their dental health.
The initiative brought together a team led by Dr. Shivam Chaudhary and Dr. Sampat Das Patnayak, esteemed ex-students of our school, whose leadership and expertise guided the overall flow of the camp and ensured smooth coordination of services.
This team of dedicated professionals and volunteers conducted screenings, offered practical hygiene tips, demonstrated proper brushing and flossing techniques, and patiently answered questions about maintaining healthy teeth and gums. Attending the event were Dr. Shreya Kapoor, Dr. Dimpi, Dr. Sakshi, Dr. Vibha Malik, Dr. Sachin Singh Rana, Dr. Jagriti Shaily, Dr. Danish Ansari, Dr. Soumya, Dr. Varun, Dr. Sameer, and Dr. Teena Rana, whose collective commitment helped transform the day into a meaningful, educational, and health-promoting experience for every student involved.
Throughout the event, students received comprehensive dental examinations and services such as scaling and fluoride applications were provided as needed, ensuring that each child benefited from professional assessment and preventive care in a friendly, approachable setting. Emphasis was placed on creating a positive and educational atmosphere so that students would leave with a clear understanding of how daily habits such as brushing twice a day, reducing sugary snacks, and scheduling regular check-ups contribute to long-term oral health. The session underscored the importance of regular dental care for children and highlighted how early intervention can prevent common issues such as cavities and misalignment.
