Glimpse of Christmas Celebrations

And that,of course, is the message of Christmas,

We are never alone, not when the night is darkest, the wind coldest, the world seemingly indifferent…
-Taylor Caldwell

Christmas, also known as Noel, Nativity or XMas is celebrated on 25 December every year to commemorate the birth of Jesus of Nazareth. It is a religious as well as cultural celebration for billions of people across the world.

Over the years Christmas is celebrated not only by the Christians but also by the non-Christians. It is believed that God came to this earth in the form of Jesus Christ to erase the sins done by humans and thereby spread the message of love for fellow human beings on this earth. Christmas is synonymous with a season of holidays and festivities.

Celebration of Christmas includes exchanging of gifts, attending church services, singing of Carols, completing an advent wreath, organizing special meals, viewing a nativity play, exchange of Christmas cards, and decorating Christmas trees and lighting up homes.

In various parts of the world figures like Santa Claus, St.Nicholas, Father Christmas or Christkind bring gifts for children on the day of Christmas.

With time, Christmas has become one of the most popular festivals. It ushers in a season of love, hope, compassion and a feeling of universal brotherhood.

The entire family of Manava Bharati India International School wishes everyone a Merry Christmas.
