Labour Day – Manava Bharati

Labour Day

Labour Day is a day to celebrate the achievement of workers and it has its origin in the Labour union movement, specifically the eight hour day movement, which advocated eight hours of work, 8 hours of recreation and eight hours of rest.
In India, the first Labour Day was celebrated on May 1, 1923 in Chennai and it was organised by Labour Kisan party of Hindustan.
The first international Labour Day was celebrated on May 1, 1890 after the proclamation by the first International congress.
On this occasion, Director sir, felicitated the entire support staff with thoughtful gifts and thank you cards.
They are the ones who work tirelessly all through the year to keep things moving and ensure there’s cleanliness around the school all the time.
So it’s very important to acknowledge their efforts and to show our gratitude.
