Manava Bharati India International School organised a farewell programme for the students of class XII

Today, the teachers and students of class XI of Manava Bharati India International School organised a farewell programme for the students of class XII as they are going to embark upon a new journey in the days to come.
The theme was “Retro” and the programme was titled “Yaadein 2023”.

The students of class XII received a warm welcome at the gate and they were ushered in with tilak on their forehead and everyone was assigned badges bearing numbers.It was a wonderful sight to see all the students dressed up in retro style. Some of them emulated the actors of the yesteryears.

The programme began at 11:00 am with the welcome speech by Vani Wilson and Varun Bisht.

Then there was lighting of the lamp which was accomplished in the presence of Director Dr. Himanshu Shekhar Mr. Praveen Dhyani, Principal Dr. Geeta Shukla, Senior coordinator Ms Jennifer Paffet and Junior coordinator Ms Arti Raturi. A beautiful sanskrit shlok was recited in this occasion.

This was followed by a beautiful and mellifluous song presentation by the students of Choir 1.

A short cake cutting ceremony was done on stage.

A scintillating dance performance followed soon after which left the audience mesmerized.

The most awaited game of musical chair with its first four rounds were conducted first for the girls and then for the boys.It was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone amidst moments of fun and laughter. The winners of musical chair were Megha Parihar and Mohd.Suhel Amin.

Yet another power packed dance performance followed next. The audience were left spellbound.

Curiosity increased manifold when the students were awarded interesting titles along with compliments written in handmade cards and folders as gifts. The titles were to be guessed by the audience within 10 secs. This guessing of titles was yet another segment of the programme which was thoroughly enjoyed by the students.

Next came the “Ramp Walk”. Students were eagerly waiting to walk on the ramp as they were dressed in their best following the retro theme. While walking on the ramp, the girls flaunted their charisma while the boys flaunted their style.

Following this, students of class XII Arti Dobhal and Shivani Rawat left everyone speechless with their surprise dance performance. It motivated other students to join them.

After this, speeches were given by Head Boy Praman Negi, Head Girl Shruti Semwal, Durgamya Gupta (XII Comm) and Sonakshi Negi (XII PCB). They all thanked the school and their teachers for the love and support seeking blessings for their board exams.

Next, a motivating speech was given by Director Dr. Himanshu Shekhar Sir who appreciated the class XII students for their special retro look and attire and bestowed upon them his best wishes. He also appreciated the students of class XI for organizing this event with such coordination.

Principal Dr. Geeta Shukla maam came up with yet another motivating speech wherein she made the students understand the value of respecting elders and working hard. She wished them the very best for their exams.
Then the most awaited part of the event came up. The titles of the following categories were awarded by Director Sir and Principal ma’am in the form of sashes, crown and brooches.

Mr. Spark of the day-Kartik Negi, Ms.Spark of the day- Durgamya Gupta.
Mr. Academics- Aryan Khatri, Ms. Academics- Durgamya Gupta
Mr. Hardworking -Abhishek Bagri, Ms. Hardworking – Rishima Gairola
Mr. Regular attendance- Dinesh Rawat, Ms. Regular attendance – Kanika Suriyal.

An emotion laden choir performance was the last segment of the event which presented some touching melodies of the 80s and 90s.

A vote of thanks was given by Shreya Bhatt that was filled with gratitude towards all.
Everyone was invited for lunch thereafter.

The school management had taken care of every aspect of this event to make it a success.
